I know there is a lot of controversy about yoga competition, but it's more like a ballet audition than UFC match. Plus, it's a great way for people to observe others performing asanas at such a high skill level. No doubt, Bikram has brought yoga to a new level of exposure in the US, even though not all people agree with his approach.

Bikram actually made the 26 posture sequence, Bishnu Ghosh taught the classic 84 postures that Bikram cherry picked from. The Heat was Bikrams idea, to immatate the Calcutta heat.
