Effortlessly cool and utterly brilliant.

this is so good. the background guitar sounds so sick later on in the song

Why are people talking about Coldplay like they are original? All they are is a decent group who want to be U2 by copying early radiohead. They are derivative and will ultimately not have any real legacy. A Rush of Blood to the Head was a good album, but the last two have just been hollow money makers.

yea a frickin' masterpiece, i agree. (pure rock!)but Coldplay. honestly, i havent heard their last album.....yet. maybe i will one of these days ;-)Parachutes (2000) is a good album tho. and, yes. they are diff bands (Interpol sounds so britishly american ;-) )

I agree that this song is great, hell the whole album is a frickin masterpiece. But have you even heard the whole Viva La Vida album? It isn't quasi pop-rock, it is actually very good. But Interpol and Coldplay are two very different bands, both awesome in their own way

Ppl nowadays compare this or that band to Coldplay.oh, yea Coldplay is the best band in the world, they play everywhere, ppl just love them..I heard much better music before and after Coldplay. Coldplay's quasi pop-rock makes me sick as a dead dog ;-)btw this is a great song.. so melodic. "Got to be some more change in my life"

You know it's alright for someone to say that something sounds like something else. Music can be inspired by other things or just coincidentally have a similar sound or style. Just throwing that out there. Regardless I love both Interpol and Coldplay. NYC is my favorite Interpol song |
