Watching them gives me the most wistful feeling. They seem to be from a magical, golden era, and I do not see the debris and cat food cans in their room. When the video ends, I feel as though everything that was ever good is gone. How strange.

I think I read that there is something like a hundred hours of footage that has never been released. I wish they would,because I could watch these two ol' broads for days and days. They were a heaven sent gift, and one that will never be repeated. "Grey G" is a true piece of Great American Narrative--something that is rapidly being lost, overlooked or forgotten.

I think this is the greatest love story known.The story of a daughter's love for her mother despite everything.I cry when I listen to the musical or watch teh DVD.

I love this video and watch it often. To me, it seems that Little Edie would be great fun to know. She changes costumes for her mother's pleasure, but maintains her own identity. Thanks (again) for creating this video. Love it.

Well I saw the Broadway show about their story and I must tell you ... I don't know if that was untrue, but the story was SO sad it was unbelieveable. The mother's selfishness and the father's requested divorce with her was enough to make little edie beale go crazy.

I saw the DVD the first time in the 1970s and was just disgusted. Now, with age, I see these women in a total new light! I think the DVD is great. Little Edie is wonderful. I love her voice. You need to see the DVD.

She makes wearing a scarf look so glamourous. I have to get this DVD too!!! I would love to know their whole story- how they got to live like that. They are such amazing women. I need to read the book too.

This is one of those films that I wish I could magically step back into.I live in the middle of manhattan and these two women's lives are more exciting than anyone I know.
