The poem "The Lark Ascending" itself is *a lot* longer than this; this is only an excerpt. I see you're a DC*B fan like myself, hallelujasing.:-) When I hear this piece, at about 2:00 I half-expect the acoustic guitar to come in, hehe.

Not surprisingly, this music has twice been voted No 1 in Classic FM`s annual Hall of Fame poll. For me it epitomises the incomparable beauty of the English countryside
